Your real estate agent will help you find “the one” – the condo or loft that you love in DTLA.
And once you find it, you’ll make an offer and everyone will cross their fingers in hopes that the seller will accept it as-is.
But where do you start?
How to Make an Offer on a Condo or Loft in DTLA
Your Realtor(R) will handle all the paperwork involved in making an offer on your dream home. The offer itself will specify the price you want to pay, specify all the terms and conditions of the purchase (such as you being able to secure financing or saying that you’ll only buy the home if the inspector’s report comes back with a reasonable number of issues), and address all the legal issues involved in buying a home.
Your offer will also include things you want the seller to pay for, such as your closing costs or repairs and upgrades that the property needs.
Then, your agent will present your offer to the seller’s agent. The seller’s agent will then give it to the seller, who has the chance to accept, counteroffer or reject it.
The purchase offer becomes a binding contract if you and the seller sign it and accept all the terms and conditions – and then it’s called a purchase agreement.
