When you’re buying a loft or condo in DTLA, there are some things that really don’t matter.
Here are three things to look past on your house-hunt.
3 Things to Look Past When You’re Looking for a Loft or Condo for Sale
- Ugly paint colors
- Bad decor
- The dream kitchen (but not always)
Ugly Paint Colors
You can always repaint – even if the seller had a hideous sense of style. Paint isn’t even that expensive, especially if you’re going the DIY route. Don’t let horrible colors in the kitchen, bathroom or elsewhere deter you from making an offer on a loft or condo that you otherwise love.
Bad Decor
The seller is taking his or her stuff on moving day, so try to look past awful decor when the layout, neighborhood and building really “click” for you. It can be tough to see a home’s best features when it’s covered in dated decor and bad wallpaper, but if that’s what’s holding you back from falling in love with the space, rethink your options.
The Dream Kitchen
Kitchens sell homes. But don’t let a great kitchen distract you from the rest of the home. After all, even if the kitchen is your gathering place, it’s not where you’ll spend the vast majority of your time in the loft or condo. You absolutely have to love the rest of the space, too.
